Easy to use, saved me time

Grabbed Shards Dashboard Lite Vue the other day. Needed something quick for a side project. It was super easy to get started with. Didn't have to spend ages figuring things out, which was nice. Just downloaded and it worked. Made my life a lot simpler. Overall, a good experience.

Great value on Shards Pro bundle

I was looking for a comprehensive admin template and saw the Shards Pro bundle. The discount for the bundle made it a really attractive option. I felt like I got a lot for my money compared to buying individual components. The download process was straightforward and I got everything I needed. Definitely a good purchase if you're trying to save some cash and get a full solution.

Consistent quality, always reliable

This isn't my first purchase from DesignRevision. I've bought a few UI Kits and Bootstrap Templates before. This time I got the Shards React components. As usual, everything was high quality and easy to implement. Their stuff always saves me time, which is why I keep coming back. Never had a problem with any of their products.

Solid admin dashboard, minor hiccup

I purchased Shards Dashboard Lite React for a new project. The components are pretty solid and well-documented. It was mostly easy to get up and running. I did have a small issue with one of the dependencies, which took a bit to sort out, but overall the experience was positive. For the price, it's good value, but I wish the initial setup was a tiny bit smoother. Delivery was quick, though, no complaints there.

Just bought Shards Dashboard Pro, and the 'Single' license terms feel a bit vague on team use. Anyone got clarity on whether one dev can use it for multiple client projects or if it's strictly one project/one license?

P PriyaS 1 month ago

Hey Rohan, from what I remember when I got mine, the 'Single' license is usually for one end product. So if you're building different projects for different clients, technically you'd need a license for each. That's how most template licenses work. I ended up getting the Agency one because of that confusion.

A AmitM 1 month ago

I think it's more about the *number of projects* rather than the *number of developers* for the Single license. Agency is definitely for multiple projects.

1

R RohanK 1 month ago

Yeah, that's what I figured, but I hoped maybe it was more flexible since it's 'single user'.

5

S Sneha22 1 month ago

You can always customize the source code though, right? So if you buy it once and then customize it heavily for each client, does that count as a new 'end product' each time?

11

P PriyaS 1 month ago

That's a gray area. Customization alone usually doesn't change the licensing for the base product.

I used the Single license for a few internal projects that were technically separate but for the same main company, and it was fine. For external client work, I'd lean towards Agency. Better safe than sorry, especially if it's for profit.

Good point about internal vs external. My use case is mostly external clients.

Does DesignRevision do refunds? Bought a template last week and now my client decided to go in a completely different direction, so I won't be using it.

N Noor 2 months ago

Hmm, I don't think so for digital products. Most places like that have a pretty strict no-refund policy once you've downloaded it. Worth checking their terms though.

4

M Mark 2 months ago

Nah, I'm pretty sure once you download it, it's yours. It's digital, so they can't really 'take it back' like a physical product.

Thinking of picking up Shards Dashboard Lite React for a new side project. Been using another free one, but DesignRevision's looks cleaner. Does it support the latest React versions well? Don't want to deal with compatibility issues.

R Rahul87 3 weeks ago ✓ Best Answer

I'm using Shards Dashboard Lite React on a project with React 18, no major issues so far. There were a couple of minor warnings in the console, but nothing that broke anything. It's been pretty stable for me.

C coolboy88 3 weeks ago

Same here, running it on React 18.2 without a hitch. The documentation is decent too if you get stuck.

7

A AnilG 3 weeks ago

That's good to hear! My current template is giving me headaches with React 17 even.

8

P PoojaR 3 weeks ago

Mine worked fine with React 17. Haven't updated to 18 yet on that specific project, but good to know it's compatible from others' comments.

A AnilG 3 weeks ago

Thanks Pooja! Compatibility is key.

T techfreak 3 weeks ago

I remember seeing an update notice a while back about React 18 support, so they're definitely keeping it current. DesignRevision generally does a good job with updates for their main products.

9

A AnilG 3 weeks ago

That's reassuring. Nothing worse than a template that's abandoned quickly.

8

R Rahul87 3 weeks ago

Yeah, their Shards Pro also gets regular updates. Quality stuff.

If I buy a Shards Pro license, do I get updates for free, or do I have to pay every time they release a new version or fix bugs?

P Paula Reyes 1 month ago

You get free updates for life with the Pro license, I'm pretty sure. At least, I haven't paid for an update yet and I bought it a while ago.

1

M Mia Y. 1 month ago

Yeah, free updates are included. It's one of the perks of getting the premium version.

Quick question for anyone who's bought from DesignRevision before, how fast do you get access to the files after purchase? I'm in a bit of a rush for a project.

M Mia 2 months ago

It's pretty much instant. As soon as payment goes through, you get a link to download. Super quick.

4

T Troy 2 months ago

Yeah, like right after you pay, it pops up on your account page or they email you a link. No waiting around.

I'm torn between Shards Pro and something from Creative Tim. Has anyone used both and can tell me which one they liked better for a React project? Looking for good component docs especially.

G Greg S. 2 months ago

I've used both. Shards Pro feels a bit cleaner and their React components are really well-structured. Creative Tim has more variety sometimes, but Shards' docs are top-notch.

A Andre P. 2 months ago

Honestly, it depends on what you need. Shards is great for a more minimalist, performance-focused app. Creative Tim can be good for flashy stuff but sometimes feels a bit bloated.

Hey, thinking about grabbing Shards Pro. Anyone know if they ever do student discounts? Don't wanna pay full price if I can save a bit.

A Alex 2 months ago

Yeah, they do! I got one last year, just had to verify my student email. Pretty sure it's still a thing.

C Cleo J. 2 months ago

I think I saw something about it on their FAQ page? You probably have to email them proof or something.
